This guide covers everything you need to complete the Blueprints, Please side job—one of the earliest missable side quests in Mouse: P.I. for Hire. You'll learn exactly when to trigger it, where Tammy Tumbler waits, and how to grab the Interesting Blueprints during Cheeseball Sub without derailing your main mission.

When to Start Blueprints, Please

Blueprints, Please unlocks during the Cheeseball Sub main job. The critical detail: pick up the side job before you start Cheeseball Sub itself.

Once Cheeseball Sub is available in your journal, Tammy Tumbler becomes accessible. If you complete Cheeseball Sub without grabbing this side job first, the window closes. No second chance unless you load an earlier save.

This is a common beginner trap. The game doesn't warn you explicitly, and the side job UI doesn't clearly indicate the time limit. That's why this guide exists.

Where to Find Tammy Tumbler

Tammy Tumbler is located in the basement of her shop behind the Ammo Store. Descend the stairs and speak with her.

She'll ask you to pick up some Interesting Blueprints on your next mission. With the side job active, you can now proceed.

Why this matters: This is one of fourteen total side jobs in the game, and the majority are missable in similar fashion. Getting into the habit of checking for side jobs before major missions will save you repeat playthroughs later.

Completing the Side Job

With Blueprints, Please active, start Cheeseball Sub normally. Head to your car, then drive to the Old Subway.

Progress through the mission until you nearly reach the end. Eventually, you'll reach an air vent. Crawl through it. This leads to a locked door, with a ladder to the right that follows the critical path of the quest.

The Interesting Blueprints are collected along this path—no backtracking or optional areas required. Playing Cheeseball Sub normally completes the side job automatically as long as Blueprints, Please was active when you started.

Rewards

Completing Blueprints, Please earns you in-game rewards and progress toward the game's completion percentage.

The larger value is learning the side job system itself—most of the fourteen side jobs follow the same trigger-then-complete pattern during specific main jobs.

Common Beginner Mistakes

Mistake #1: Finishing Cheeseball Sub before checking for side jobs. New players often rush through main missions without checking for NPCs. Result: permanent miss.

Mistake #2: Assuming all side jobs are optional forever. Mouse: P.I. for Hire ties most side jobs to specific main missions. If the main job passes, the side job typically locks.

Mistake #3: Not using strategic saves. Before starting any major mission, consider saving manually. If you miss a side job, you can reload without replaying hours of content.

First-Hour Priorities for New Players

Your first session should establish three habits:

  1. Check for side jobs before every main mission. Look for opportunities, particularly in early-game missions like Cheeseball Sub where multiple side jobs can activate.
  2. Explore NPC locations between missions. Many side jobs unlock through dialogue. Tammy Tumbler doesn't advertise—she's in her basement behind the Ammo Store.
  3. Save strategically. Manual saves give you flexibility for missed side jobs that autosaves cannot.

Next Steps

With Blueprints, Please done, continue with Cheeseball Sub to progress the main story, but keep side job awareness sharp.

Check your journal after each mission completion. Talk to NPCs between missions. The game rewards curiosity and caution in equal measure.
