Exoria Codes [New]: What to Actually Do With Your First 20 Rolls

Beginner GuideExoria Codes New

Your first hour in Exoria is a hidden character-creation phase disguised as gameplay. Those code-rolled race rerolls aren't bonus loot—they're your only clean shot at a build that won't make the early grind miserable. Burn them randomly and you'll spend weeks catching up to someone who spent five minutes thinking.

The Anti-Consensus: Race Rarity Is a Trap

Everyone chases legendary races. Bad move.

Common and rare races in Exoria often carry faster early scaling, lower purity thresholds, and simpler style unlocks. A "boring" rare with clean stat synergy beats a legendary whose passive requires boss drops you can't farm yet. The real power gap isn't raw tier—it's activation cost versus your current progression speed.

Check this before keeping any roll:

What to AskWhy It Matters
Does this race's passive work at level 1?Some legendaries need level 50+ to function
What's the purity skill requirement?High purity = longer lockout from your best moves
Does the style match my planned weapon?Mismatched scaling wastes every level-up point

The "Starters" code giving 5 rolls? That's not a head start. That's a diagnostic tool. Use it to test how a race feels in actual combat, not on the stat screen. Five minutes of hitting things reveals more than any tier list.

What the Tutorial Hides: Purity Is a Currency, Not a Moral Meter

Exoria frames purity as a story choice—cleanse or corrupt. Mechanically, it's a second resource bar that gates your strongest abilities. Most new players treat it like flavor text. They hit 0 purity, wonder why their ultimate vanished, and assume it's a bug.

It's not.

Purity drains when you use certain skills, take corruption damage, or enter cursed zones without wards. Refilling it requires specific items, rest points, or quest completions. Early game, those refill methods are scarce. Late game, you can manage it. But the first 15 levels? One bad purity spiral can stall your entire session.

Here's the hidden mechanic: purity thresholds for skill unlocks are race-specific. Some races need 80+ purity for their first style evolution. Others function fine at 30. Your race choice directly determines how punishing the early world is. A "weaker" race with forgiving purity mechanics will outdamage a "stronger" race that's permanently locked out of its kit.

The practical takeaway: until you have reliable purity generation (usually post-first boss), avoid skills with corruption costs. Your damage drops. You live.

Time Wastes That Kill Runs

Rolling without a backup plan. Codes expire. "Starters" won't last forever. If you burn all rolls hunting perfection and land something unusable, you're stuck with default until the next event. Set a floor: three acceptable outcomes, keep the first that hits.

Ignoring race style before race tier. Style determines your animation speeds, hitbox profiles, and combo routes. A B-tier race with a style that matches your reflexes beats an S-tier with awkward timing. Test in the starter zone for at least two levels before committing.

Hoarding rolls for "the next update." Exoria's code cycle is irregular. The expired list from April shows how fast they vanish. Rolls in hand are worth more than hypothetical future codes. Use what you have now, build around what you get.

Chasing purity restoration before understanding drain. New players buy purity potions with early gold. Expensive. Temporary. Better solution: learn which enemy attacks corrupt and dodge them. Free. Permanent skill improvement.

Skipping the training event code. "TRAINEVENT" gives 5 rolls but also flags your account for event notifications. Some players ignore it to keep their menu clean. Those notifications include flash codes with 24-hour expiration. The clutter is the feature.

Your Next Three Decisions

These shape everything after hour one.

Decision 1: Lock your race by level 10, not before.

Levels 1-10 are fast. You see enough combat to evaluate feel. Earlier locking risks buyer's remorse. Later locking wastes stat growth from racial passives. The window is narrow.

Decision 2: Pick your purity path based on your first boss drop, not your race's "theme."

Some boss weapons corrupt on hit. Others purify. Your first meaningful drop nudges you toward one playstyle. Fighting it is inefficient. Build around what the game gives you, not what you imagined at character select.

Decision 3: Spend your first earned currency on inventory space, not gear.

Early gear replaces itself every few levels. Inventory space is permanent. More space means more quest items carried, more crafting materials hoarded, fewer town trips. The time saved compounds. The gear advantage vanishes.

The One Thing to Do Differently

Stop treating Exoria's opening like a story prologue. The first hour is a compressed optimization puzzle with irreversible choices. Your race, your purity management habits, and your first currency spend are the actual character creation. Everything after is execution. Slow down. Test. Decide with consequences in mind.
